The Paula Hyman Mentorship Program seeks several new members for its steering committee. Under the auspices of the AJS, each year the steering committee chooses a cohort of 6 junior scholars who are women, nonbinary, or are other marginalized and underrepresented genders within Jewish Studies. These junior scholars are paired with senior scholars in the field of Jewish Studies by the steering committee, which also organizes and participates in various activities with the cohort. Steering committee members are asked to be involved in selecting mentees, helping with pairing mentees with mentors, suggesting ideas for programming, and occasional participation in virtual workshops throughout the year or during our in-person meeting after the AJS conference.
