The workshop will address m ultiple ways to discuss these challenges in the classroom.\nThe workshop i ncludes lectures and talks by professors of the Hebrew University and Isra eli figures in the political arena\, roundtables and workshops\, and speci al visits to Israeli political institutions and museums.\nAll activities w ill be conducted in English.\nParticipants are also invited to participate in the Annual Conference of the Israeli Association for International Stu dies the day after the workshop ends (the conference takes place at the Un iversity of Haifa on June 18\, 2020\, in Hebrew\, with a few sessions in E nglish). \;\nThe organizers will cover all costs related to the academ ic program. Support funds to cover accommodation and/or flights are partic ularly available for participants from Central and Eastern Europe.\nInform ation for applicants:\nBoth senior and junior teachers/scholars focusing o n Israel and Middle Eastern Studies are invited to submit their applicatio n to the workshop. Candidates are required to send:\n\n A one-page lett er or motivation\, explaining current or future interests with regard to t eaching on Israel and its position in the Middle East.\n Curriculum Vit ae\, including details of the courses previously taught and/or a list of p ublications related to the study of Israel&rsquo\;s contemporary politics\ , history or society.\n Participants who wish to present their course s yllabus\, teaching tools\, or writing production during the workshop (not compulsory) are also invited to send abstracts with the rationale of their presentations (up to 300 words).\n Upon acceptance to the program\, pa rticipants will be required to fill a registration form and pay a flat rat e of $100.
