Latin American Jewish Studies Caucus

Machado_stone-lajsa

Founded in 2011, the Latin American Jewish Studies Caucus serves as a meeting place at the AJS conference for members, potential members, and friends of the Latin American Jewish Studies Association (founded in 1982 and known as LAJSA). We hold an open meeting at the AJS conference, during which we plan future activities both at the AJS conference and at the biannual international LAJSA conferences. We also sponsor and organize AJS sessions and special events of interest to Latinamericanists at the AJS conference.

The activities of the Latin American Jewish Studies Caucus are announced via LAJSA-list, the listserv of LAJSA, and then posted on the LAJSA website. To subscribe to LAJSA-list, which carries both the organizational announcements of LAJSA and discussion of Latin American Jewish research topics, please contact the list manager, Naomi Lindstrom, at lindstrom@austin.utexas.edu. You may visit the LAJSA website, which includes information on becoming a member, at: www.lajsa.org
