[In-Person Talk] Temptation Transformed: How the Forbidden Fruit Became an Apple

In-Person Public Talk, February 22, 7:00 p.m.

Douglass Student Center, 100 George Street, New Brunswick

Rutgers Professor Azzan Yadin-Israel uncovers the mystery of how the forbidden fruit—which is not identified in the Bible—became an apple, upending an explanation that stood for centuries. His groundbreaking new book Temptation Transformed is a wide-ranging study of  Renaissance art, medieval storytelling, and early Christian thought, offering a fresh look at the history of a central religious icon. Free and open to the public, this talk is presented by the Allen and Joan Bildner Center for the Study of Jewish Life at Rutgers University. Light refreshments will be served following the talk. Advance registration required on the Bildner Center website: BildnerCenter.Rutgers.edu.
